Flame arresters of the Labom MF21 series are installed as coupling elements between a mechanical pressure gauge or a pressure transmitter of category 2G and the process to be measured. Flame arresters prevent a possible flame arcing from a measuring device into the process. Measuring devices that are suitable for use in zone 1 are suitable for mounting in zone 0 if the flame arrester is used and the conditions of use specified in Ex instruction XA_018 are complied with.
