Siemens SIWAREX WT500 is a powerful, full-feature terminal that is designed for use with belt scales, solids flowmeters, and weighfeeders.
When configured for belt weighing (BW), the WT500 processes speed signals from the conveyor and load signals from the scale to calculate the rate of material flow and totalization. The primary values of speed and load, along with the derived values of rate and total, are displayed on the local liquid crystal display (LCD) or output as analog mA, alarm relay, or remote totalization.
When configured for solids flow (SF) the WT500 processes signals from the flowmeter to calculate the rate of material flow and totalization. The derived values of rate and total are displayed on the local LCD or output as analog mA, alarm relay, or remote totalization.
SIWAREX WT500 can take on lower-level control functions traditionally handled by other devices, and it supports popular industrial communication buses.
Its proven load cell balance function eliminates matching of load cells.
The PID function may be used for rate control on shearing weighfeeders, where belt loading is constant, but can also control prefeeding devices in belt scale and solids flowmeter applications.
Operating in tandem with two or more weighfeeders or solids flowmeters, the WT500 may be used for ratio blending and controlling additives.
