The EXTT-TX series is duplex extension–grade thermocouple wire, available in iron/constantan (ANSI Type JX) and copper/constantan (ANSI Type TX) formulations. The wire is insulated with materials such as PFA, Neoflon or other compatible polymers, and is rated for maximum operating temperatures determined by both the wire grade and insulation type. Typical constructions include solid or stranded core conductors, with overall dimensions in the range of about 1.4 × 2.3 mm up to 2.2 × 3.9 mm (0.056 × 0.092 to 0.086 × 0.152 in). Standard spool weights and wire mass (e.g. ~8 kg per 300 m for 16 AWG PFA insulated) are documented in the datasheet. Optional overbraiding with Inconel 600, stainless steel or tinned copper can be applied for added abrasion resistance and mechanical protection. The wire is colour coded per ANSI conventions and is commonly used for low-temperature extension wiring in thermocouple sensor systems.
