Seamless Flowmeter Calibration and Reinstallation for a UK Facility
Background
Our Service team was recently tasked with completing a flowmeter project for a UK-based facility. The work centred on the installation of a Siemens SITRANS FC330 Coriolis flowmeter, a highly accurate instrument designed to deliver precise measurement performance in demanding process applications.
Challenge
The customer required the flowmeter to be calibrated within a short timeframe, while ensuring minimal disruption to operations. The project involved removing equipment from site, transporting it to a calibration centre, and then reinstalling it within a tight window during a planned plant shutdown.
Coordinating logistics and execution was key to delivering the work without impacting production schedules.
Solution
Our team managed the entire process, beginning with the removal and secure transport of the flowmeter to a UKAS-accredited calibration facility in the north of England.
The calibration was completed over the course of four days, with our engineers on hand to oversee progress and ensure the highest standards were maintained. Once the work was finalised, the flowmeter was promptly returned to site and reinstalled during a mini plant shutdown, ensuring downtime was kept to an absolute minimum.
