Clearwell Level Instrumentation at Water Treatment Plant
Background
Clearwell level control instrumentation was in need of some modernisation.The previous Foxboro mechanical pump controller had stopped working after offering many years of service and so the plant were keen to explore more up to date methods which could ultimately be more accurate and reliable as well as offering some much needed space- saving solutions.
Challenge
he current level instrumentation occupied a lot of space on the backboard so the client required a solution that was more space- efficient whilst providing accurate and repeatable results.
Solution
The ProVu PD6000-6R7 digital pump controller mounted in a IP65- NEMA 4X enclosure replaced the old controller. The PD6000 displays level and performs duty standby pump alternation for the three pumps. This neat solution helpfully occupies one fifth of the space of the current application, providing the same excellent functionality with more precision and a clear digital display.
Result
The ProVu PD6000-6R7 digital pump controller and the IP65-NEMA 4X enclosure offered the plant the solutions they required. The modern digital pump controller and enclosure are designed to be more streamlined and much less cumbersome. As well as the space-saving elements to the new devices, this more up to date technology is providing far more precise results.
