Let’s take a look at the year so far…

17 July 2025

Every year we like to give our followers a 6 monthly round up of January to June, to look back on our achievements and organise the year ahead. This year has got off to a great start, so much so we’ve been too busy to organise a round up! So, better late than never, lets take a look at some of the highlights from the year so far…

Futurestars Charity Tech Drive

We’re proud to have supported Futurestars Charity for many years, and it’s been incredible to see the impact they’ve had over the last decade. Our most recent joint venture, the Tech Drive, is still going strong and we’re still accepting donations! If you have any old tech gathering dust, please consider donating it to this amazing cause. All suitable devices will be sent to Ghana, where they’ll become vital tools in educating and empowering students. To date we have sent over multiple devices, including laptops, tablets and mobile phones to be rehomed and put to use educating the next generation. Check out some of the donated devices being received here

Welcomed New Team Members

Since January, we’ve been pleased to welcome three new team members across our Solutions and Service departments – and with applications currently open for several roles, we’re looking forward to growing the team even further in the months ahead. Freya Murton has joined our Solutions team as an Apprentice Solutions Specialist, bringing a great attitude and a clear passion for learning. She’s already become a friendly and valued part of the team. In our Service team, we’ve welcomed Alex Woolley, our new E, C&I Engineer, and Sam Foreman, an Apprentice C&I Engineer. Both have hit the ground running, supporting the wider team on-site across a variety of ongoing projects.

Hosted a range of visits from Customers and Suppliers

We’ve really enjoyed welcoming both new and familiar customers and suppliers to our offices recently. It’s always great to catch up face to face, have open conversations, and look at how we can work together in the future. We really appreciate everyone who makes the trip to see us – your time and effort means a lot, and we’re looking forward to continuing the conversations.

Put the spotlight on our Team

We introduced our new Employee Excellence initiative, designed to encourage team members to recognise each other’s achievements and celebrate hard work through meaningful rewards. Team members are encouraged to vote for their colleagues via our staff intranet, highlighting instances when the nominees have acted in a way that supports one of our company values. During our monthly team meetings, all nominations are shared with the team and the two team members with the most nominations are rewarded!

Introduced our new Company Directors

We were proud to announce the appointment of three new directors to our Senior Management Team. Oliver Flight takes on the role of Operations Director, Andy Hazlewood becomes our new Sales Director, and Craig Hamman steps into the position of Technical Director. These well-deserved appointments are a reflection of their outstanding leadership, dedication and alignment with our company values. A huge congratulations to Oliver, Andy and Craig – we’re excited for what the future holds!

Completed our Charity Event for The Sick Children’s Trust

What initially started as a 500 mile challenge, for our team to walk, run or cycle a total of 500 miles throughout June, quickly developed into a 1000 mile challenge! The initial target of 500 miles was surpassed with over 10 days left of the month so we thought wed challenge our team further with a new target to double the distance. Were proud to share that the team also surpassed the secondary target and ended June on a total of 1209 miles with £1125 raised- funding 28 nights of accommodation in one of the The Sick Children’s Trust Homes from Home, for families with a ill child in hospital. Well done team and a massive thank you to everyone who donated to this worthy cause!

Celebrated Professional Development

We celebrated the professional development of our team, congratulating Alex & Nick for becoming qualified E&H L1 ASP Engineers and Ben for completing his IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health) and NEBOSH (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health) courses. Congratulations to all!

What a first half of the year its been so far for our team! We are excited to continue with the good momentum, growing our team and developing our offerings, whilst continuing to provide excellent service and nurture out relationships with customers and suppliers.
