Project Update
Process Instrument Solutions was recently approached a premier supplier of processing equipment for the food and drinks industry in the UK, to implement modifications to existing Stainless Steel vessel recirculation lines using the KxS Technologies refractometer.
Currently the site is testing the PH and Brix of the Jam by emptying out a sample from the line, testing it and wasting the product. Then after the tests are complete some 45 minutes later, they then add any additional items to the product to correct the PH and Brix levels.
With the KxS refractometer, this is installed in the re-circulation line with a custom-built insertion, with a tri-clamp fitting that fits to the existing 1.5″ pipe, so the Brix can be measured in-line without any waste or downtime.
This refractometer will save the customer downtime required to measure the Brix by hand, as well as save on wasted product, with a one-off purchase, a sensor that will tell you if it needs cleaning or maintenance, remote diagnosis functions as well as alarm set points so on-site engineers can plan in maintenance when its required, rather than reacting to situations.

We’re delighted to introduce our latest recruit to the Process Instrument Solutions’ team, Xanthe Shore, as our new Marketing Executive. Xanthe will be supporting our extensive marketing strategies including product promotions, overarching campaigns and continue to grow the company’s presence on social media.

This month we are showcasing Precision Digital’s new line of products, the PD6900-HA Protex+ and explosion-proof & I.S. loop-powered indicators. This new line is fully-approved explosion-proof and intrinsically safe loop-powered meters with 4-20 mA Input Displayed with ±0.02% of full-scale accuracy and 1.5 Volt Drop (4.7 Volt Drop with Backlight).
The indicators which are explosion-proof, IP68, NEMA 4X Die-Cast Aluminium and Stainless Steel enclosures come with a three year warranty.
