Process Instrument Solutions Hosts Family Day
Process Instrument Solutions hosted its very own ‘Bring Your Kids To Work Day’ with a fun Easter twist for families to enjoy which gave the next generation of PI Solutions the chance to see where mum/dad work.
Jon Tayler, Managing Director, said: “We truly believe in being an all-encompassing business and incorporating the teams’ families so they feel part of our team too. We had a great time and we hope the kids did too!”

Project Update
This month the PI Solutions team installed and commissioned a Siemens SITRANS LT500 HART enabled transmitter / controller and SITRANS LR110 non-contact 80 GHz radar to monitor and control a sump pump. This non-contact and narrow beam radar was the ideal solution for the application where a lot of obstructions and hysteresis issues on relays with contact level devices in the past.
The Siemens SITRANS LT500 is the ideal controller/transmitter for this type of application.
Featuring analogue input and output, HART comms capabilities, up to six configurable relays for pump duty/standby, high level and low level alarms and start/stop. Local digital display in engineering units or percentage, 32 point linearising table and seamless configuration of the LR100 series radars via four button HMI.

Product Showcase

We’re showcasing the Siemens SITRANS I100 Isolating Power Supply with HART this month which is now in stock.
The isolating power supplies are used for the intrinsically safe operation of 2-and 3-wire transmitters and for connecting to intrinsically safe mA sources. Furthermore, the 2- and 3-wire transmitters are supplied with auxiliary power from the transmitter supply unit.
For 2-wire transmitters the isolators transfer the HART communication signal bidirectionally.

Website Feature

This month we’re sharing our Thermocouple Colour Chart which can be downloaded for free. This chart provides a comprehensive guide to the different thermocouple types and their corresponding colour codes, making it easier for users to identify and select the right thermocouple for their specific application.
