Project Update
Process Instrument Solutions were contracted to supply, install (mechanically and electrically) and commission 2 industry standard Siemens Milltronics MCS in-line belt weighers, with BW500 transmitter / totalisers and TASS on belt speed sensors.
Our team went to site and adapted the existing conveyor belts to ensure proper alignment and functionality, provided cabling, tray and containment to the BW500 signal integrator / transmitter which provides local readout of continuous weigh in tonnes per hour, a running totaliser and resettable totaliser for daily totals. The analogue 4 to 20mA was cabled back to a local termination hub which ultimately connected to the plant SCADA system to provide accurate information for lorry loading of the quarry aggregates.
The whole project was completed on time, within budget and in some rather challenging Welsh weather conditions.
Team Update
Congratulations to our Site Engineers Aaron Tebbutt and David Read who have been working on their height IPAF qualifications. They both successfully completed the course and have received their IPAF Certificate and Powered Access Licence (PAL). This IPAF Operator course with practical training session and assessment covers two powered access products – Mobile Vertical (3a) + Mobile Boom (3b).
